National Accounts Program Administrator

Position Overview

The National Accounts Program Administrator directly supports sales objectives by working with key customer stakeholders to provide major account management support for manufacturing customers. This role is responsible for fulfilling contracts and facilitating account activity within assigned national account customer portfolios. Key activities include performing audits, providing business opportunity analyses, and coordinating back-office efforts to effectively respond to customer requests.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Account Activity Management: Takes action upon notification of account activity (service level increase or decrease – right sizing) to plan for and coordinate appropriate service levels that best meet customer needs and corporate objectives.
  • Project Management:
    • Develops project plans, maintains key project performance indicators, and initiates/manages project implementation with various internal teams.
    • Manages and ensures completion of special projects, including:
      • Coordinating installation and/or closing of existing account locations (10+ locations).
      • Implementing new customer locations.
      • Ensuring support and assistance from various functional areas within National Accounts.
      • Managing and implementing right-size, diversion, compliance, and single-stream projects.
  • Business Opportunity Analysis:
    • Proactively analyzes business opportunities (ROI, savings analysis, cross-analysis) for assigned manufacturing national account customers.
    • Seeks opportunities to create cost savings, increase profitability, and maximize internal revenue growth.
  • Customer Support & Resource:
    • Provides information and acts as a resource to internal and external customers regarding processes and new initiatives.
    • Provides complex customer service assistance for the Manufacturing Corporate customer base.
    • Acts as backup for National Accounts Managers or Sr. National Accounts Managers, providing a point of contact for customers.
    • Accesses Salesforce.com to enter customer communications as needed.
    • Provides guidance on billing/collections issues for centrally and non-centrally billed customers to ensure contract compliance.
  • Contract Compliance Assistance: Assists Sr. National Accounts Managers (NAMs) in ensuring customer compliance with all aspects of contracts, including:
    • Contamination reporting, special waste, resolution, and corrective action planning.
    • Reviewing pricing changes from the pricing team with sales management for final approval.
    • Communicating pricing changes to NAMs to support customer approval processes and relaying updated information to the field.
    • Contacting assigned customers for special events to obtain future business and provide leads to NAMs.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assists with providing content for the development and analysis of business opportunities for assigned manufacturing national account customers.
    • Coordinates, analyzes, and maintains customized files/reports for key customers to provide status reports, identify trends or anomalies, and propose corrective actions.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Communicates with corporate contacts and facilitates the planning and execution of field site audits or other functions at customer locations.
    • Provides recommendations and problem-solving to corporate-level customer staff for escalated service, billing, and reporting issues.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

  • Experience with project management.
  • Special Waste experience.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer contact position.
