Requirements

Candidates must be located in the Central or Eastern time zone, possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and have at least five years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in engineering consulting, technology, or retail firms. They should demonstrate an understanding of ASC 606, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, including Excel and Word, keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, exceptional time management abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work as a team player are also required, along with an interest in sustainability and a passion for making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Accountant will support billing, conduct Profit and Loss Statement reviews, apply revenue standard ASC 606 to projects, and assist with project setup within the Oracle system. They will also prepare detailed financial reports, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, prepare and review invoices, manage client communication, handle journal entries related to project costs and revenues, assist with external audits, and provide documentation and explanations as needed. Furthermore, they will handle more complex projects, assist other project accountants, support Revenue Manager with ad hoc reporting, and identify opportunities for process improvements, while also demonstrating initiative and handling other duties as assigned.
