Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4+ years of foodservice, sales, or related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, project management, organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Up to 25% travel required

Responsibilities

  • Call on established National and Regional Accounts to introduce, monitor, and enhance program compliance and growth
  • Conduct meetings with first level managers on a regular basis to review each account
  • Keep informed on new products, pricing, and other general program and industry information
  • Act as a consultant to provide advice and guidance to customers with regard to their program requirements
  • Ensure proper service and follow-up on all customer accounts
  • Display and demonstrate product, using samples and catalogs to emphasize features and benefits where applicable, and within program parameters
  • Review receivables for all accounts and resolve any credit/collections issues with the Corporate National Accounts Credit Department and/or Distribution Center Credit Department
  • Ensure accurate pricing per program parameters
  • Maintain daily contact with internal departments, customers, factory representatives, and other outside sources
  • Report on current activities and matters concerning assigned National/Regional accounts to the National Area Manager(s) and National Account Managers on a regular basis
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records and reports on all phases of activities
  • Check on competitive activity and escalate issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
