Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field sales role selling to large enterprise organizations
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools strongly preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred
  • Ideally, experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology products

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong business relationships at the executive level (e.g., CISOs, CIOs, C-level executives)
  • Conduct advanced solution selling, sales presentations, and coordinate multiple resources within an account
  • Consistently and successfully close business for Proofpoint
  • Penetrate net new accounts and expand presence with existing customers by introducing the full security portfolio
  • Partner with the channel organization to secure new share of the security market
  • Team up with Sales/Systems Engineering team to prepare account strategies and plans
  • Deliver outstanding product demos and proof of concept programs to prospects and customers
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas
