Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or a related field, coupled with over 6 years of experience in building large-scale, distributed web platforms/APIs, taking end-to-end product scope responsibility across multiple domains. Proficiency in server-side development with Java, the Spring framework, object-oriented design, design patterns, RESTful services, Agile development methodologies, multi-threading development, and databases (SQL/NoSQL, Hadoop, Hive, HDFS) is essential. Strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing business priorities and thrive under pressure, are also required. Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and contribute to technology direction for measurable business improvements is expected.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will craft sound API designs and drive integrations between data layers and customer-facing applications. They will design and run A/B tests in production to vet and measure the impact of new functionality. Responsibilities include contributing to the development of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications, designing layered applications (UI, business functionality, database access), and collaborating with other developers and quality engineers to create innovative solutions. The role also involves estimating engineering efforts, planning implementations, rolling out system changes, and participating in the continuous improvement of payment products to enhance quality. Additionally, the engineer will participate in requirement/design meetings with Product Development/Quality Engineering teams.
