Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on Java experience. A strong background in risk engineering, specifically with rules engine architecture or risk/credit/fraud systems, is required. Proficiency in Java frameworks like Spring Boot, experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues, scalable architectures, and AWS services (EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB) are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with CI/CD systems, observability tools like DataDog, big data platforms, Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform), and strong communication and mentoring skills.
The Senior Software Engineer will build rules engine and machine learning solutions to mitigate business risks within Flex. They will design and develop high-scale, 24/7 APIs and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot on AWS. Responsibilities also include working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to launch new features across web and mobile platforms and contributing to the development of event data stream ingestion and A/B testing capabilities for fraud detection.
