MS Purview Specialist (AU IT Services, WFH)

• Description: This role involves designing and implementing Microsoft Purview solutions for data cataloguing, classification, and governance across various data sources. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Purview, Azure services, data integration, and data governance principles.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, including data governance, compliance management, and risk assessment functionality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data modelling to structure and organize enterprise-wide data.
• Understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Solutions: Develop and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions for data cataloguing, classification, and governance across various data sources.
• Data Integration: Integrate Microsoft Purview with diverse data platforms to establish seamless data lineage, metadata management, and governance workflows.
• Policy Configuration: Configure and customize data classification, labeling, and sensitivity policies to ensure compliance with business standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, analysts, and IT teams to map data sources and enforce governance best practices.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Maintain and optimize Purview services, ensuring alignment with business needs, security policies, and compliance requirements.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Azure certifications related to data governance, cloud security, or data engineering.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python to automate Purview configurations and data processes.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, to support reporting and analytics.
