Mission Development Manager

Position Overview

Vannevar Labs is seeking a Mission Development Manager to drive go-to market strategies and achieve significant growth outcomes. This role is crucial for expanding current deployments and developing new national security initiatives. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Mission Development Manager and will be instrumental in launching pilots, converting them into larger projects, and embedding these solutions within existing programs or creating new ones in the national security space. The growth trajectory for this position is to advance into a Senior Manager role within 12-18 months, leading pods to deliver major growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Execute on Strategies: Pursue go-to market strategies to drive deployments from new footholds into embedded solutions within current defense programs and to develop new category-defining programs.
• Deliver Growth Outcomes: Lead your pod in executing growth strategies, managing the process from concept through contract close.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience delivering growth within a technology or products context.
• Demonstrated ability to convert pilots into successful projects.
• Experience working within Homeland Security missions.
• Preference for candidates with interagency or law enforcement (LE) experience.
• Experience and intuition in growing defense product deployments from small-scale pilots into larger projects with the Department of Defense.
• Mission domain expertise in national security technology.
• A strong desire to work in a national security startup environment, build a team, and drive significant growth through creative approaches, deep understanding of technologies and their applications to strategic competition, and a relentless work ethic.
• U.S. Persons status is required.
• A current U.S. DoD Secret-level clearance is required due to the need to access U.S. only data systems.
