Requirements

  • Ability to prospect and build pipeline using inbound/outbound techniques, including multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, video)
  • Expertise in nonprofit fundraising space, software needs, pain points, CRM displacement, and competitive evaluations (quickly learn if not expert)
  • Skills in full sales cycle: discovery calls, demonstrations, pricing proposals, implementation calls, deal strategy, packaging, competitive positioning
  • Maintain excellent CRM hygiene (accurate stages, next steps, notes, forecast data)
  • Commit to activity targets, pipeline generation, stage progression, weekly forecast reviews
  • Complete sales enablement certifications and product training sessions

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate pipeline: find prospects, establish credibility/relationships, meet outbound activity and new opportunity targets, use self-generated techniques, warm leads from inbound/partner channels
  • Build multi-channel outreach sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn, video) for high-quality opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal team (Marketing, Partners) to build culture, brand value, and innovate growth
  • Learn nonprofit space and become expert on software needs/pain points
  • Report to Mid-Market Manager for pricing, proposals, closing deals; collaborate on strategy, packaging, positioning
  • Perform online demonstrations of software/services
  • Sell standalone Virtuous products, AI-driven tools, and bundled platform packages to mid-sized/large nonprofits
  • Own book of business and run full sales cycles (prospecting, pipeline building, opportunity generation, inbound assistance, discovery, demos, proposals, implementation)
  • Participate in weekly forecast reviews and meet activity/pipeline expectations
