Requirements

  • British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
  • Able to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
  • Flexibility for blended on-site and remote working, depending on project requirements and site access needs

Responsibilities

  • Define environments (e.g., shock, vibration, temperature, humidity) that MBDA’s products will encounter in service
  • Support other Functions and Projects in developing robust designs and efficient proving strategies
  • Generate evidence through testing to demonstrate that MBDA’s products meet customer environmental requirements
  • Complete four six-month placements: three within EE&F (Test Team, Trials and Analysis Team, Projects Team) and one external to EE&F of choice
  • Work on projects at various stages of the product development cycle and in-service support
  • Gain hands-on experience in mechanical and climatic testing in UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Participate in environmental data gathering trials on-site and externally
  • Manage technical delivery of small to medium-sized work packages
  • Learn weapon system development through risk reduction, design assessment, and qualification testing
  • Measure, process, and analyse data from flight and firing trials or laboratory sources
  • Deliver substantive tasks with mentorship to become an independent, problem-solving engineer
