Candidates should possess at least 1-3 years of investment banking experience, an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5, and high ACT/SAT scores. Fluency with financial statements, modeling, and capital structure is required, along with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple work streams and projects concurrently. Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, industry perspective, and intellectual curiosity are also necessary, as is high proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
The MBA Thesis Internship will involve working closely with Bertram's Principals and Partners on a small deal team, providing exposure to the full spectrum of private equity investing, including evaluation of new platform investments, identification and execution of add-on acquisitions, investment thesis development, portfolio management, and deal execution. The intern will also contribute to portfolio company strategy and operations, and demonstrate professionalism and exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
