Bertram Capital is seeking Associates to join its investment team, focusing on the Industrials or Business Services verticals, for a Summer 2025 start date. As founding team members, Associates will collaborate closely with Bertram's Principals and Partners on a variety of new investment opportunities. These roles involve working within a small deal team and provide exposure to the full spectrum of private equity investing, including:

• Evaluation of new platform investments
• Identification and execution of add-on acquisitions
• Investment thesis development
• Portfolio management
• Deal execution

We seek personable, intelligent, self-starting individuals who demonstrate professionalism and possess exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of investment banking experience (depending on the specific level)
• Undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (or equivalent) and high ACT/SAT scores
• Fluency with financial statements, modeling, and capital structure
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple work streams and projects concurrently
• Interest and aptitude for involvement in portfolio company strategy and operations
• Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, industry perspective, and intellectual curiosity
• Self-starter with excellent oral communication skills
• Demonstrated experience as a productive member of a team
• High proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation for this role is $30,000.
