Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have 8 or more years of technical experience in IT or related environments. A minimum of 2 years of experience in project leadership roles is required, along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives with a high level of detail orientation. Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership, are essential, as is a proven track record in leading special projects and delivering actionable reporting. A passion for improving consumer and business outcomes through IT solutions is also required. Preferred qualifications include an MBA or other advanced degree, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification, a strong understanding of operations, technology, communications, and business processes, and Six Sigma and/or PMP certification. Experience managing large-scale, highly visible programs involving multiple project teams and a background in insurance or healthcare industry portfolio management are considered a plus.
The Lead, IT Portfolio Management will align the IT portfolio and demand in collaboration with the business portfolio team. This role involves organizing and prioritizing IT projects and programs to ensure alignment with the company’s IT strategy, roadmap, and available resources. Key responsibilities include collaborating with business and IT leaders to align portfolio priorities, organizing and prioritizing projects based on strategic roadmaps and budget changes, and ensuring appropriate resource allocation. The lead will advise executives on portfolio strategy and operational alignment, exercise independent judgment on complex portfolio management issues, and lead special projects including the production of key metrics and trend reports. They will manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail, communicate effectively with senior leaders through clear presentations, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Adaptability to evolving priorities is also a key aspect of the role.
