Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies for liver products, including new launches and lifecycle management
  • Translate global commercial strategies into localized action plans tailored to the Japanese market
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing to long-term business planning
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Value & Access, Commercial Operations, Clinical Development, and Government/Public Affairs
  • Drive co-commercialization initiatives and joint promotional efforts with external partners
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
  • Recruit, coach, and develop talent to meet evolving business needs
  • Cultivate relationships with liver disease specialists, key opinion leaders, and medical societies (e.g., JSH, JDDW)
  • Leverage Gilead’s nationwide liver network to maximize promotional impact
  • Engage and influence at senior cross-functional levels within and above country
  • Conduct strategic marketing activities including market and competitive research and product positioning
  • Identify actionable insights based on market research and ensure that the product/brand addresses unmet need areas
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to ensure effective marketing plan roll-out/implementation
  • Plan and prepare effective product/message sales training with training team
  • Lead, conceive, develop, and implement omnichannel/digital marketing plans
  • Manage partnerships with agencies to ensure flawless execution
  • Create and execute KOL strategy and engagement plans
  • Manage marketing budget and OPEX
  • Serve as a core member of the Liver Leadership Team
