Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in event planning logistics and meeting scheduling, along with superior attention to detail, organization, discretion, and sound judgement. They must also demonstrate strong work ethic, high standards of excellence, an understanding of the relationship between hospitality and client development, excellent time management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and the ability to build both internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

The Special Events Associate/Vice President will coordinate and manage planning and logistics for in-person and virtual events, including sponsorship opportunities, hosted conferences, industry conferences, panel discussions, group events, and internal events, while managing event budgets and maintaining metrics post-event. They will provide business unit stakeholders with timelines, feedback, and status updates, prepare logistical specifications and contracts with venues and event partners, coordinate with Corporate Communications to ensure BTIG branding, provide a post-event wrap-up including attendee counts, budget reconciliation, and event surveys, confirm food and beverage menus, travel to in-person events, and take on special projects and project management responsibilities as assigned.
