Requirements

  • Studying towards a degree in Physics or Maths or various Engineering degrees (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, Electrical/Electronic and General)
  • An ‘Engineering Mind-set’ – the ability to take technical information and turn it into something that can be used in building products, find improvements and cost savings in production, and problem-solve when something needs fixing
  • Previous use of tools such as Simul8, MRP tools (SAP), Engineering Drawing tools (Creo), or Configuration Control would be an advantage (training provided as necessary)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design to influence the producibility of designs
  • Define the ‘how’ we build products, including responsibility for tooling required to build products
  • Create instructions on how to build products
  • Manage the cost of manufacture of products
  • Conduct industrial validations of production lines and suppliers
  • Provide day-to-day support to operators building products
  • Develop the architecture of production lines
  • Develop new manufacturing processes
