Requirements

Studying towards a degree in Physics or Maths or various Engineering degrees (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, Electrical/Electronic and General)
An ‘Engineering Mind-set’ – the ability to take technical information and turn it into something that can be used in building products, find improvements and cost savings in production, and problem-solve when something needs fixing
Previous use of tools such as Simul8, MRP tools (SAP), Engineering Drawing tools (Creo), or Configuration Control would be an advantage (training provided as necessary)

Responsibilities

Work closely with design to influence the producibility of designs
Define the ‘how’ we build products, including responsibility for tooling required to build products
Create instructions on how to build products
Manage the cost of manufacture of products
Conduct industrial validations of production lines and suppliers
Provide day-to-day support to operators building products
Develop the architecture of production lines
Develop new manufacturing processes
