Requirements

The candidate must ensure the establishment and maintenance of qualified and safe states for equipment, processes, utilities, and facilities, and build strong technical relationships with corporate teams. Post-startup, responsibilities include refining and executing the engineering roadmap, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and standards, and maintaining an outward focus for best practices. Partnership with Facilities Engineering for asset management and ensuring operational integrity through rigorous maintenance and documentation are also key requirements.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director is responsible for leading the site’s process-facing engineering functions, including process engineering, automation, and maintenance, to ensure the team has the capacity, capability, and leadership to support site startup and long-term manufacturing goals. This role provides both administrative and technical leadership for engineering operations. During the project delivery and startup phases, the Senior Director will collaborate to build a capable, inclusive, and resilient organization focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. They will define priorities and roadmaps for process engineering, automation, and maintenance, developing systems and processes by leveraging internal expertise and external best practices. The role involves actively contributing to site HSE to ensure safety is embedded throughout project delivery and startup, acting as an end user for process equipment, and designing/evolving the engineering organization. This includes ensuring qualified and safe states for equipment, processes, utilities, and facilities, and building strong technical relationships with corporate teams. Post-startup, the Senior Director will continue refining and executing the engineering roadmap, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and standards, identifying and applying best practices, and partnering with Facilities Engineering to manage site investments and ensure operational integrity through proper maintenance and documentation.
