Position Overview

Unit8, a leading Swiss AI and data analytics consulting firm, is expanding its operations to the USA and seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Country Head/Managing Director to lead its US market entry. This role is pivotal in defining and executing Unit8’s go-to-market strategy in the United States, driving commercial success, and establishing the company's presence from the ground up.

Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a dynamic Swiss leader in AI and data analytics consulting, specializing in solving complex challenges for traditional industries such as automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing, and pharma. We partner with industry giants like Palantir, NVIDIA, and OpenAI, having successfully completed over 150 projects with a team of 150+ professionals across Switzerland, Poland, and Germany. Our mission is to accelerate AI adoption in non-digital industries and drive digital transformation through impactful projects, including pro-bono and "engineering for good" initiatives.

Requirements

Are You the Leader We Need?

• Experience: At least 7 years in leading management consultancy at the intersection of business and technology, with a focus on data, AI, and analytics.
• Leadership: Charismatic leader with a proven track record in establishing, maintaining, and growing commercial relationships in data, AI, and analytics services.
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the US business landscape and ability to leverage an existing network of decision-makers.
• Team Building: Skilled in building and managing high-performing teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Innovative in identifying and prioritizing business challenges and providing relevant solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communicator, motivated to represent Unit8 externally.
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40%, primarily within the USA and occasional visits to Switzerland.
• Education: Graduate degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business, mathematics, or natural sciences.
• Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with a "can-do mentality."
• Location: Based in New York City or Boston, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Establish Unit8’s presence in the USA and act as Country Head/Managing Director.
• Define and execute our USA go-to-market plan focused on commercial success.
• Acquire new customers and grow existing client relationships (sales quota carrying).
• Identify market opportunities through conferences, meetings, networking, and other channels.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team in a matrix structure.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Collaborate with internal Unit8 teams to ensure success.
