Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or hold relevant certifications. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Financial Services sales is required, along with a proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets. Experience working with the Fidelity WAS referral program is essential, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software is necessary. Familiarity with Salesforce and support org functionality is expected, and holding a Series 65 or 66 license, or an FP® or other planning designation, is preferred.
The Managing Director, Business Development Officer will build strong relationships with Fidelity Financial Consultants, Branch Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents, conducting ongoing new business development activities and providing value-add presentations on KAR's capabilities. This role involves understanding proprietary investment solutions and planning services, delivering a consistent message on KAR's unique value proposition, and staying current with changes in the custodial referral platform. Responsibilities include participating in sponsored events, sourcing, educating, and closing clients referred through the custodial platform, managing the client discovery process, and collaborating with KAR wealth advisors to close new client relationships. The BDO will also provide ongoing communication to FCs regarding referred clients, maintain organized records, and participate in regular training and coaching programs.
