Position Overview

Figure Lending is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented sales leader to identify new business opportunities and secure partnerships with Enterprise Banks and Credit Unions. This role involves building a robust network, sourcing and structuring partnerships, and negotiating and implementing a strong portfolio of business opportunities. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners will be crucial in developing and executing partnership strategies. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Partnership Development and offers the opportunity to lead Figure's newest vertical.

Requirements

  • Sales Leadership: Proven experience in sales leadership, identifying new business opportunities, and securing partnerships.
  • Partnership Development: Experience in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and implementing partnerships.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Salesforce: Proficiency in using Salesforce for tracking prospective partners and maintaining detailed interaction updates.
  • Contract Negotiation: Experience in creating and negotiating contracts, including economic and legal documentation.
  • Market Awareness: Ability to monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Due Diligence: Experience with data rooms and due diligence materials for prospective partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales opportunities and create actionable plans to close partnerships with prospective partners, including area, state, and regional Banks and Credit Unions.
  • Educate prospective partners on various partnership models (Wholesale/Co-Branded, Correspondent/Private Labeled, LaaS, Figure Connect) and their mechanics.
  • Understand and articulate the value proposition of Figure's offerings to partners, maintaining and updating the Figure pitch book and website.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create visibility frameworks, including social media, posts, and press releases related to partnerships.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track prospective partners, maintain detailed updates of all interactions, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Maintain management dashboards on the pipeline, update activities regularly, and create future volume projections.
  • Partner with Onboarding, Sales Success, and other volume-dependent departments to ensure proper staffing.
  • Leverage data room and due diligence materials, ensuring their accuracy and currency.
  • Create and negotiate contracts with partners, detailing economic and legal provisions and volume expectations.
  • Present product demos to potential partners, answer questions, and manage due diligence requests.
  • Ensure seamless handoffs to onboarding and product teams to meet critical partnership launch milestones.
  • Monitor market trends to adapt strategies.
  • Oversee the process of diligence review for lending partners.
  • Maintain a summary of key terms and pricing.
