Manager of Transactional Communications

Position Overview

Angi is seeking a Manager of Transactional Communications to drive the implementation of consumer-triggered transactional campaigns across owned channels, including email, push notifications, and SMS. This role will focus on developing and building omnichannel customer journeys to transform how Angi communicates with its customers through data-driven, customer-centric, and personalized messaging. The Manager will steward all homeowner-facing transactional communications, particularly those related to post-booking experiences, encompassing communications between Angi and the homeowner, and between the homeowner and the service provider.

About the Role

The Manager of Transactional Communications will be responsible for overseeing all transactional communications from Angi, including email, SMS, and push/app notifications, to assist customers in completing their intended jobs, whether hiring a professional for home repair/upgrades or utilizing Angi for pre-priced home services.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing omnichannel transactional communication programs at scale, with a focus on enhancing customer engagement, satisfaction, repeat purchase rates, and ultimately, revenue. They will possess a proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, leveraging deep customer insights to inform their strategies. This communication channel is designed to help homeowners connect with qualified home professionals to ensure their jobs are completed successfully. The ideal candidate should be adept at creating communication/CRM strategies, implementing SMS and email within our email clients (Iterable, Customer.io), and communicating effectively and concisely across Angi.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all transactional communications from Angi, including email, SMS, and push/app notifications, to help customers complete their jobs.
  • Develop and own the transactional communication customer journeys from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Define goals, benchmarks, and KPIs for transactional communications.
  • Gather insights from program performance data and develop recommendations for measurable improvements.
  • Own all analytics related to the performance of transactional communications.
  • Continuously A/B test and optimize campaigns to drive increased engagement and repeat rates.
  • Develop and execute QA/release plans to support new program launches.
  • Develop stakeholder reports that quantify results.

Requirements

  • Experience managing omnichannel transactional communication programs at scale.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Deep experience leveraging customer insights to inform strategy.
  • Skilled in creating communication/CRM strategy.
  • Experience implementing SMS and email in email clients (e.g., Iterable, Customer.io).
  • Ability to communicate succinctly and efficiently across an organization.
