Requirements

Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams of Design Release Engineers
Ability to foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Expertise in managing resource allocation, workload balancing, and hardware engineering teams for on-time, high-quality design releases
Knowledge of thermal management systems to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Proficiency in overseeing design, development, and release of components and systems aligned with vehicle program milestones
Skills in ensuring timely delivery of engineering releases, drawings, and specifications
Experience coordinating cross-functional activities with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers
Capability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Guidance expertise on engineering standards, DFMEA, DVP&R, and regulatory compliance
Ability to review and approve design changes, engineering documentation, and release packages
Proficiency in supporting root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues
Awareness of latest industry tools and technologies
Strong stakeholder engagement skills as primary engineering interface
Experience collaborating with program management, product planning, and supplier engineering teams
Ability to communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
Knowledge of engineering processes and systems (e.g., PLM, change management)
Skills in monitoring and improving KPIs related to quality, timing, and cost
Experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
Capability to coordinate with validation and testing teams for component bench testing, integration testing, and system testing
Leadership in cross-functional collaboration to drive balanced design and requirements with concept teams, performance/simulation leads, and production teams

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Design Release Engineers
Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage resource allocation and workload balancing across programs
Manage hardware engineering teams to release designs on time with high quality
Identify risks related to thermal management systems and implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks
Oversee the team of engineers’ design, development, and release of components and systems in alignment with vehicle program milestones
Ensure the team is meeting timely delivery of engineering releases, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate cross-functional activities with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver products on schedule and within budget constraints
Provide guidance on engineering standards, DFMEA, DVP&R, and regulatory compliance
Review and approve design changes, engineering documentation, and release packages
Support root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues
Stay informed about the latest industry tools and technologies to ensure the team is equipped with state-of-the-art resources
Act as the primary engineering interface for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with program management, product planning, and supplier engineering teams
Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
Drive adherence to engineering processes and systems (e.g., PLM, change management)
