Position Overview

We are seeking a smart, resourceful, and customer-focused Manager, Partnerships to expand the supply side of our insurance marketplace. This role involves identifying, pitching, and onboarding new insurance carriers to enhance the value proposition for our customers.

This position is perfect for individuals who excel at navigating challenging partnership opportunities. You will be responsible for persuading potential partners, developing mutually beneficial arrangements, and ensuring partnerships are valuable for both Jerry and our carriers. This requires creative thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to present a compelling narrative with a strong point of view.

What You'll Do

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex and strategically important business challenges.
  • Engage in both strategic planning and hands-on execution: create the plan, collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementation, and take ownership of the results.
  • Source and close partnerships with insurance carriers to grow the marketplace's supply side.
  • Create customized pitches and solutions, particularly for partners who may initially be hesitant to see the value of collaboration.
  • Represent Jerry professionally, clearly, and insightfully in all external meetings.

  • Experience: 4+ years in business development, partnerships, strategy, or similar roles, preferably within a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
  • Deal Closing: Proven track record of driving and successfully closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Drive & Curiosity: Exceptional drive and intellectual curiosity; a self-starter focused on impact and outcomes.
  • Communication: World-class communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging senior executives with ease and precision.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: An inherently creative and entrepreneurial mindset, consistently identifying innovative solutions.
  • Ownership: An unwavering sense of ownership and urgency, comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
