Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related discipline, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of ten years of gas distribution, utility, or technical experience. A Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred, and a valid Motor Vehicle Operator license is required. Strong knowledge of design and construction of gas distribution facilities and equipment, as well as the codes and regulations governing the gas distribution system, is essential.
The Manager, Gas Construction will manage the capital construction program for Eversource, partnering with Engineering to ensure projects are properly designed, budgeted, and completed on time while meeting regulatory and safety requirements. They will coordinate contractor activity, approve invoices, manage construction staff, establish and monitor goals, and ensure all activity is performed in a timely, effective, environmentally prudent, and cost-efficient manner. This role involves contract administration of gas contractor agreements, monitoring key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining accurate project documentation. Furthermore, the position requires ensuring construction projects comply with Eversource Safety policies, standards, and applicable laws, and providing training and development to construction supervisors.
