Candidates should possess expertise in building science, energy-efficient technologies, energy savings methodology analysis, energy modeling, and energy codes, along with knowledge of demand response, HVAC systems, water heating, building controls, pump and irrigation controls, other grid harmonization technologies, and distributed generation. Familiarity with energy policy and relevant regulations is also desired.
The Senior Energy Engineer will assist with driving customer participation in programs focused on distributed energy resources, including demand response, thermal and energy storage, and electric vehicle grid integration. Responsibilities include equipment review, measure development, data analysis, program technical support, developing analysis of savings and impacts of energy technologies, creating calculation methodologies, writing technical reports, supporting proposals and business development, coordinating engineering topics, developing strategies for energy savings, and leading project deliverables with minimal oversight.
