Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, media, journalism, and/or agency
  • Strong knowledge of local media landscape (broadcast, print and online); media and entertainment industry knowledge a plus
  • Deep editor and stakeholder relationships in South Korea
  • Issues and crisis communications experience
  • Team player with experience working with virtual teams across markets and regions
  • Excellent oral/written communication and project management skills
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and strong project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic, integrated communication plans to support business goals in South Korea and enhance corporate reputation
  • Build corporate and consumer narratives as well as create stories around brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more), Disney+, local and global content
  • Design proactive and strategic media relations and engagement programs
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Public Policy and Legal, to amplify key brand campaigns, partnerships and other initiatives
  • Develop and execute CSR programs for South Korea
  • Proactively identify and manage potential issues and opportunities
  • Provide executive engagement support, including press outreach and speaking opportunities
  • Partner closely with stakeholders within media and entertainment industry and engage third-party advocates
