As the Manager, Business Development and Partnerships, you will be a key driver for the growth and success of our partner ecosystem. You will strategically manage and strengthen existing partnerships, and identify and secure new high-value collaborations aligned with the company's long-term vision. Leveraging a deep understanding of market dynamics, you will propose innovative tools and product solutions to unlock scalable opportunities for both the business and its partners. This high-impact role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, data, and sales, to craft and execute partnership strategies that deliver lasting business outcomes. Reporting directly to the VP of Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the partnership portfolio and accelerating organizational growth.

Jerry is building the first super app to help people optimize all aspects of owning a car – insurance, buy/sell, registration, loans, safety, repairs, parking, etc. – a $2T market in the U.S. The company started with insurance in 2019 and has since launched loan refinancing, driving insights, a repair marketplace, car diagnostics, and a GenAI-powered chatbot & voicebot. They have amassed over 5 million customers, raised $240 million in funding, scaled revenue 60X, and grown the team to 225 across 6 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Foster Strong Partner Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for building and nurturing deep, trusted relationships with existing partners to ensure long-term success and collaboration.
  • Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute structured business plans or quarterly OKRs tailored to each partner's unique goals, maximizing the potential of strategic partnerships through a deep understanding of their business.
  • Optimize Performance: Utilize analytical skills to analyze data, uncover trends, and identify key opportunities for improving business KPIs, driving smarter decisions and better outcomes for all parties.
  • Generate New Opportunities: Lead the creation of new growth opportunities with both existing and potential partners, utilizing negotiation expertise to structure mutually beneficial expansion deals.
  • Deliver Actionable Insights: Perform analysis and regularly provide valuable insights and updates to both partners and internal teams, ensuring alignment, informed decision-making, and empowerment.
  • Resolve Challenges Quickly: Act as the primary problem-solver, triaging operational and execution issues across partners and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Management Consulting (McKinsey, Bain, or Boston Consulting Group preferred).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion, with meticulous attention to detail and a strong bias for action.
  • A proactive and driven individual with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and adapt quickly, and a desire to contribute to the success of a high-growth company.
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed, actionable decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
