Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree or relevant certifications being a plus. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in building management systems or controls engineering is required, along with expertise in designing and implementing BMS/EPMS systems for data centers. Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, PLCs, DDCs, and industrial control systems is essential, as is proficiency in BMS platforms like Schneider Electric, Siemens, or Honeywell. Experience with communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus is also necessary, along with demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
The Manager, BMS Controls will lead the design and development of BMS/EPMS controls for data center operations, ensuring integration with HVAC and electrical systems. They will collaborate with engineers and contractors to oversee the installation and commissioning of these systems while optimizing BMS operations for energy efficiency. Regular system audits will be conducted to identify performance issues, and BMS data will be leveraged to generate insights for improvements. The role includes mentoring a team of technicians, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and sustainability goals.
