Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of experience in HVAC applications engineering, controls, or sales engineering roles. Preferred experience includes commercial HVAC systems, data center or mission-critical project experience, and a solid understanding of fans, motors, VFDs, air handler systems, and control strategies. Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control diagrams, and technical specs is also required.

Responsibilities

The Data Center - Sales Application Engineer will lead technical discovery and solution design for retrofit projects, analyze existing HVAC systems, collaborate with fan and controls partners to develop retrofit solutions, coordinate with Account Executives and design partners, review scopes of work, develop performance specs, assemble proposals and pricing documentation, and support the full sales cycle from inquiry to installation. They will also communicate directly with facility engineers, mechanical contractors, and data center stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and ensure successful project execution resulting in revenue generation.
