Requirements

Dynamic and experienced in leading billing, credit, and collections functions
Ability to provide strategic vision and oversight for day-to-day operations
Experience managing geographically distributed teams (e.g., Geneva, Switzerland and Austin, TX)
Expertise in billing processes, invoicing, accounts receivable management, DSO, bad debt, and credit risk
Knowledge of compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations (primarily Switzerland)
Proficiency in process improvement, automation, and technology for workflows
Skills in financial reporting, month-end close, audit requirements, and data analysis
Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Revenue Operations, and other departments

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 professionals (invoicing team of 4 and collections team of 3) across Geneva and Austin
Set team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans
Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment across time zones and cultures
Oversee generation and distribution of accurate, timely invoices for all locations
Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations
Implement and maintain efficient billing processes and systems; resolve complex billing issues and escalations
Manage accounts receivable aging, reduce outstanding balances, monitor payment behavior, and address delinquencies
Manage credit risk, keeping DSO and dilution within limits
Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable status and collection activities
Identify and implement process improvements with Revenue and Sales Operations teams; utilize automation
Develop and maintain process documentation
Ensure accurate billing and AR reporting for consolidated financials; support month-end/year-end closes
Provide analysis and insights on billing/collections performance
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and other departments
