Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, 3-5 years of relevant work experience, and 1-3 years of supervisory experience. They should have general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliance, and HVAC systems, as well as CAMT certification and experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office. Strong customer service skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to supervise and work with a diverse group of people are also required.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor II will lead and manage a maintenance staff on a day-to-day basis, performing as a working supervisor when not supervising staff. They will assist in hiring, developing, training, and holding staff accountable to operating standards, conduct and participate in weekly staff meetings, and prepare work schedules for maintenance staff and vendors. Responsibilities also include completing monthly building and unit inspections, reviewing third party property inspections, maintaining grounds and curb appeal, maintaining working knowledge of maintenance programs, soliciting bids from contractors, and participating in on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies.
