Requirements

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. state, demonstrating success working across a wide range of legal matters, including oversight for all corporate reporting and obligations, and corporate governance experience (including management of board and committee). They should have strong negotiation skills balanced with above average business acumen, informing their legal recommendations, and a proven ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.

Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel will draft and review legal documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company goals, collaborate in negotiations to protect and enforce the company’s interests, ensure Kiddom is set up to comply with relevant commercial, transactional, and privacy laws & regulations, identify potential legal risks and propose practical solutions to mitigate them, develop standard templates and streamline processes for recurring legal needs to enhance consistency and scalability, and interface directly with Counsel representing clients, partners, and vendors.
