Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in Nevada, with a strong preference for candidates admitted to practice in multiple states. Applicants must have at least seven years of experience practicing labor and employment law, with a significant portion focused on traditional labor matters, and demonstrate expertise in navigating complex legal issues related to union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and labor relations.
The Legal Counsel – Labor and Employment Law will respond to NLRB ULP charges and other administrative claims, provide timely employment law advice to HR and operational units, collaborate on legally compliant policies and procedures, advise on CBAs and draft related documents, represent the company in labor matters including arbitrations and negotiations, prepare responses to agency and court complaints, conduct legal research, manage outside counsel, and deliver strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders while fostering strong relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
