Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field, and have at least five years of experience in compliance, specifically within the areas of leave management, disability, ADA, and Paid Family Medical Leave. Strong knowledge of US state and federal leave laws, including PFL/PFML, is essential, along with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
The Leave Management Compliance Consultant will provide direct compliance support for Paid Family Leave (PFL)/Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) private plans and Statutory Disability plans, including identifying requirements, drafting guidance for employer clients, assisting with plan documentation, and ensuring state reporting compliance. They will monitor and communicate changes in leave laws and employer trends, informing product opportunities and updating external collateral, and offering consultation to internal teams and employer customers regarding leave law implementation.
