Position Overview

Clipboard Health is seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Lead to join our fast-growing Series C marketplace. This role is crucial for translating our core values into tangible, scalable behaviors within our frontline teams. You will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing coaching and training programs that elevate performance, particularly for our Worker Support associates who are the primary point of contact for our users. Your work will directly shape the customer experience and ensure it reflects our company values of empathy, judgment, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Program Development: Build and refine onboarding, upskilling, and coaching programs that make company values measurable and repeatable, starting with Worker Support and expanding to leadership.
  • Team Development: Develop agents and managers to deliver world-class service grounded in empathy, curiosity, and critical thinking.
  • Operationalize Behavior: Implement systems to embed speed, ownership, and feedback into daily team behaviors.
  • Coaching Systems: Design coaching frameworks that drive real-time performance improvement and reinforce excellence.
  • Feedback Loops: Establish feedback mechanisms to identify performance gaps early, rapidly test solutions, and precisely measure impact.
  • Performance Elevation: Raise the standard for how individuals perform and present themselves, focusing on both knowledge and behavioral execution.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in Learning & Development, enablement, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing programs that reduce ramp time, improve outcomes, or positively shift day-to-day performance.
  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing decision-grade content.
  • A portfolio showcasing systems or programs you have built, led, and improved based on feedback.
  • Comfort and effectiveness operating in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments with robust feedback loops.
  • A data-driven mindset, prioritizing first-hand observation and real-world behavior change over theoretical approaches.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with customer support or contact center teams.
