Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and ideally, a Master's degree, with a minimum of 7 years of product management experience, specifically within digital media or content platforms, and at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Familiarity with A/B testing, user research methodologies, and data-driven decision-making is required, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is also necessary.
As the Lead Product Manager, Reader Growth, you will lead the development of modern and engaging Wikipedia learning experiences on both the desktop and mobile websites, driving a cross-functional team to build and deploy features and experiments. You will also work with the team to design lightweight experiments, apply standardized measurement practices, develop creative approaches to learn in a privacy-sensitive environment, track and communicate progress, maintain planning artifacts, and collaborate with Communications, Marketing, and Legal functions to execute high-profile projects. Furthermore, you will proactively conduct conversations with volunteer communities to gather feedback and adapt plans as needed, and maintain an understanding of current developments and innovations in knowledge seeking, AI, and industry best practices.
