Requirements

  • Experience in product lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life for complex communications products (underlays and overlays)
  • Expertise in assessing hardware, firmware/OS, software platforms, OSS/BSS, competitive research, and product fit assessments
  • Strong financial acumen, including business case modeling, budget management, funding requests through capital process, and financial modeling
  • Technology leadership and innovation skills
  • Ability to conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, identify trends, revenue potential, customer segments, and opportunities
  • Proficiency in defining/documenting customer/technical requirements, product designs, business cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience negotiating with 3rd party technology partners and vendors on hardware, NoS software, peripherals, cost structure, features, and support
  • Skills in developing/maintaining product roadmaps, service guides, documentation, reports, project plans, and driving revenue/margin growth
  • Cross-functional collaboration with business, technology, UX, design, manufacturing, test, quality, sales, marketing, legal, pricing teams, and stakeholders
  • Recognized expert with broad/in-depth knowledge, ability to creatively resolve complex issues, lead projects with strategic autonomy, influence executives, mentor staff, and implement long-term organizational plans

Responsibilities

  • Manage entire product lifecycle: from initial concept through development, launch, production, distribution, and end-of-life, ensuring seamless transitions and performance
  • Manage budgets, acquire estimates, handle funding requests through capital process
  • Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing during production and distribution
  • Translate/document customer and technical requirements into product designs; prepare/present business cases, product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria
  • Analyze customer needs, prioritize new products/services/enhancements
  • Work with 3rd party partners on hardware, NoS software, peripherals for wireline/wireless convergence and value-added products
  • Negotiate with vendors to improve product cost, features, and support
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis on trends, volumes, revenue, customer segments
  • Develop/maintain product roadmaps, service guides, documentation, results reports/analysis, project plans aligned with market/business objectives
  • Define/drive initiatives to grow revenue and margin
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, UX teams, technology partners to design/modify products, ensure UX quality, budget/schedule alignment
  • Partner with Global Connectivity Management, Technology Development, Contracting, Legal, Product Marketing, Pricing teams on pricing strategies
  • Provide readouts to senior leadership; guide AT&T Business to new connectivity approaches as part of Business Convergence Solutions team
