Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. They should have over 8 years of relevant work experience, including extensive experience in econometric modeling, applied analytics, demand and revenue forecasting, time-series analysis, and marketing mix modeling. Proficiency in statistical programming languages like Python or R, experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and expert knowledge of econometric and statistical methods including time series analysis, regression models, hypothesis testing, simulation, causal inference, and data aggregation are essential. The ability to work with large, diverse datasets using SQL and other database tools is also required.

Responsibilities

The Lead Econometrician will develop, refine, and maintain econometric models for forecasting market demand and revenue across various business units and markets. They will design and implement a marketing mix model to assess marketing ROI and build driver impact models to explain variance from internal and external factors. Responsibilities include gathering, cleansing, and integrating data, analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, partnering with cross-functional teams, creating simulations to test strategic impacts, presenting findings to leadership, and developing internal standards for data quality. The role also involves managing third-party contractors and maintaining professional knowledge.
