Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall professional work experience
  • 8 years experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare, contracting or pharmaceutical industry
  • Successful experience in business development and contracting
  • Experience effectively presenting in front of large, executive level customer audiences
  • Ability to travel, up to 20% of the time, as needed, per business needs
  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the development and execution of key strategies and initiatives with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers, including procurement of products, distribution strategies, acquisition economics, and specialty services such as data and reporting services, adherence programs, and other performance services
  • Direct account responsibilities for established manufacturers
  • Manage pharma relationships at a leadership level
  • Accountable for the cost of goods of pharmaceutical manufacturer products and improvement in the reduction of these costs
  • Identify and exploit new opportunities for current and new manufacturers
  • Utilize creativity and skilled collaboration across multiple key business units, strategic vision, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Balance multiple priorities, such as multiple contract negotiations and multiple manufacturer initiatives
