Candidates must have 8+ years of experience managing Azure/AWS infrastructure and Production Grade Kubernetes clusters, with strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure or AWS infrastructure in a Production environment. Proficiency in core Cloud services like VPC, VNET, RG’s, IAM, App Services, and experience with AWS/Azure backup, recovery, and replication are essential. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Graylog, and strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python) are required. Excellent experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines, solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols in the context of Kubernetes, and excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include AWS/Azure certification, Terraform certification, experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio, and an understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
The Lead DevOps Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable AWS and Azure infrastructure, maintaining it using Terraform and deployment pipelines. They will collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into the Kubernetes (EKS) environment, monitor the health and performance of Vendavo Cloud services and Kubernetes clusters using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Graylog, and implement proactive measures to prevent issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, optimizing resource allocation and utilization, and automating the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools. The role also involves implementing and maintaining CI/CD (Azure) pipelines for deploying applications, collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance and implement best practices for securing infrastructure, acting as an SME within the Cloud, and participating in capacity planning and performance tuning of the AWS and Azure infrastructure. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Kubernetes and the cloud-native ecosystem is also a key responsibility.
