The Lead Data Scientist should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess exceptional quantitative and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience with data science libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and Scikit-Learn. They should also have experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark, and expertise in data architecture, including database systems, data lakes, and data warehouses.
The Lead Data Scientist will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to conceptualize and construct data reporting and analytical systems, generate ideas for exploratory analysis, provide insightful recommendations for strategic actions based on data-driven insights, develop dashboards and comprehensive documentation to communicate results, integrate data models into production systems, identify and analyze key business metrics, and lead a team of data engineers and data analysts, providing mentorship and guidance. They will also participate in recruitment and nurturing of engineers, drive rapid prototyping of solutions, and actively participate in discussions related to product and feature development.
