Requirements

Candidates must possess a PhD or MS in computer science, math, physics, or a related discipline, with 2+ years of experience post-MS or a PhD and a strong AI publication record. A deep understanding of deep learning, NLP, and/or CV techniques is essential, along with applied programming experience in Python and PyTorch. Experience conducting independent research and the ability to excel as an individual contributor within a multidisciplinary team are required. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a can-do attitude are also necessary. Preferred experience includes exposure to medical imaging AI applications, large-scale training with multi-GPU setups and large datasets, and contributions to research communities like NIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR, or MICCAI.

Responsibilities

The AI Scientist will create and deploy AI algorithms to reduce misdiagnosis in radiology and improve patient care. They will investigate, develop, and evaluate new AI methods to enhance the understanding of radiology reports and images. This role involves driving innovation, contributing to publications, and representing Covera Health at scientific and industry conferences. Collaboration with data science, clinical, and engineering teams to advance the clinical research roadmap is expected, alongside a passion for improving patient care through AI.
