Responsibilities

  • Gather dirty linen and sort for washer loading
  • Remove laundry from washer and place in dryer, inspecting for damage or soiled areas
  • Fold dry linen, count, and store in proper location
  • Inventory and deliver appropriate quantity of linen to the respective area
  • Operate all laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use proper sanitary procedures in the handling and delivery of all linens
  • Make repairs on linen using a sewing machine, thermo patch machine, or hand stitch
  • Ensure a clean and adequate supply of linen is maintained and stored properly in departments
