Remote Math Competition Coach (AIME & JMO Level)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Remote Math Competition Coach to teach AIME & JMO level math content. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, the ability to prepare engaging lessons based on our curriculum, and a passion for inspiring students in competitive mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Teach AMC10 & AIME competition problems virtually through the Think Academy Teaching Platform.
• Develop personalized training plans tailored to students’ levels and goals.
• Create high-quality problem sets, handouts, and learning materials aligned with various competition systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, formats, and problem styles of annual math contests.
• Guide and mentor students in preparing for local and international math competitions, including BMT, HMMT, etc.

Requirements

• Academic Background: Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related STEM field.
• Competition Experience: Personal experience in math competitions, with at least qualification to USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad or equivalent level.
• Mathematical Foundation: Strong mathematical foundation and deep understanding of competition-style problem solving.
• Teaching Skills: Ability to explain advanced concepts clearly and inspire students at different levels.
• Passion: Passionate about competitive mathematics and committed to helping students excel.
• Experience (Plus): Prior teaching or coaching experience is a plus.
• Team Experience (Strong Plus): Participation in team-based math competitions is a strong plus.

Pay Structure & Benefits

• Teaching Fee: $55-$75/hour (Teachers will be assigned 3-7 classes per week).
• Non-Teaching Fee: $25-$35/hour (Includes class preparation, grading homework, replying to parent messages, providing feedback, and curriculum development).
