Requirements

  • Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc., and follow them with precision
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Experience and ability in using hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Place, hang, or unhang manufactured and/or purchased component pieces of the company’s products efficiently in conjunction with departmental functions
  • Be familiar with product routings, Bill of Materials, and job set-up charts
  • Keep and record accurate part numbers and counts of pieces as needed
  • Perform all diversified department operations, including handling heavy products, while meeting satisfactory performance requirements
  • Continuously safely perform all required tasks, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures
  • Take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards
  • Perform operations to close tolerances and inspect parts for conformity to quality standards, including component defects and operation of all working parts
  • Take an active role in caring for equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects, and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 5S, TPM, and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Maintain good housekeeping and complete other assignments as directed by the Supervisor
  • Work overtime as requested and posted by management
