Requirements

  • University degree, Business degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years Account Management experience
  • Proven Leadership Skills and proven ability to execute strategic initiatives
  • Excellent negotiating, assessment and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to build and execute business plans with customers
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • Team and results oriented with effective written & communication skills
  • Flexible, extended hours and workdays required based on meetings and demands of the business and customers
  • Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written) (asset only)
  • Valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and achieve volume, profit and share objectives on all Smucker Consumer products within assigned account
  • Build strategic relationships with customers to develop JMS brands in the Canadian marketplace
  • Develop & implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade investment budgets and strategies which are consistent with Smucker brand and corporate strategies
  • Work closely with Customer, Team Leader, Category Strategy, Deduction Analysts and internal Smucker stakeholders, to identify, develop and execute annual business building plans for the account
  • Fully utilize all Post Promotion Analysis, Price Modeling and POS resources to better evaluate, plan and execute the business
  • Lead strategic and insight based initiatives for assigned account by leveraging Category & Shopper Insight teams
  • Achieve full line distribution for all Smucker products with emphasis on maximizing product volume and gross margin
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with account personnel, particularly merchandising, operations, supply chain and finance
  • Achieve desired Accounts Receivable and Trade Investment goals through working closely with Smucker Trade Promotions personnel & Trade Finance
  • Coordinate and communicate all relevant account priorities for retail sales team to achieve desired results through Acosta retail sales personnel (merchandising, pricing, distribution, pricing, planograms)
  • Perform Retail Audits in assigned account and competitive retailers to monitor execution of Smucker brands and competitive intel
  • Report on all competitive and required information on a timely basis (ie. Weekly, Qtrly Reviews)
  • Work closely with the demand planning team to provide ongoing forecast requirements leveraging ongoing Shipment, Inventory & POS analysis
