Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices
  • College training in Biology/Microbiology (BS preferred)
  • Good computer skills, including file and directory creation, email, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership: collaborate and build relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to take ownership and successfully improve and track Daily Management Systems, Lab Excellence, Data Integrity, etc., and document/report critical issues to Management
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and communicating in English, specifically for procedures and reports
  • Willing to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Willing to work overtime including weekends as needed, and any shift as required (shift preferences considered but flexibility expected)
  • Physical ability to use basic lab equipment; climb, stand, and move on stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn, and bend; stand on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Skills in quality control processes, including operating, maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning automated equipment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Practical laboratory skills and good aseptic techniques

Responsibilities

  • Perform raw material and finished product conventional microbiology testing
  • Conduct RO/DI water sampling and Environmental Monitoring
  • Work under minimal supervision on testing, calibrations, and improvement work
  • Ensure uninterrupted continuity of facility, manufacturing, support systems, and processes
  • Drive continuous improvement through loss elimination and root cause problem solving
  • Keep quality systems operating and meet performance goals
  • Maintain high level of quality for consumer products
  • Get involved, take charge of situations, and confront business-related problems
