Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and approaches for complex projects/programs to ensure integration across BJ’s and deliver business value rapidly and iteratively
  • Identify resource requirements (people, organizations, financial, hardware, software, services) for multiple projects/programs and manage overall program budget, business case, and value measurement
  • Provide program management direction and leadership to other project managers; coach, mentor, and motivate team members; manage other project/program managers
  • Identify and manage dependencies across the program; facilitate and communicate resolution to complex strategic issues with executive management
  • Build on best practices for program management, establish documentation requirements for compliance, and drive continuous improvement of program performance
  • Lead discovery activities with business partners at all levels to understand business objectives, assumptions, and constraints
  • Apply retail supply chain knowledge to set large supply chain programs and implementations up for success
  • Prepare and deliver effective, timely, meaningful communications throughout the project lifecycle to participants, senior leadership, and the organization
  • Identify and resolve issues/conflicts within the project team; delegate tasks and responsibilities; set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
  • Communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, consistent, meaningful manner
  • Collaborate with Finance to run planning and budgeting processes through the year and assess monthly
  • Manage budget and plans regularly, escalate and problem-solve as needed
  • Manage and maintain standard outputs for budgeting and planning processes
  • Rigorously manage ongoing work against timelines, spend, and value delivered; cascade reporting across all organizational levels
  • Keep pace with emerging program and portfolio management trends and best practices
  • Ensure projects and documentation meet standards
