Candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Computer Science-related concentration. They should also have experience teaching courses in a college or university setting and experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level. Strong time management skills, receptiveness to feedback, and the ability to collaborate with curriculum designers are also preferred.
The IT Course Development Specialist will review existing college-level IT and Computer Science-related course learning outcomes, update overall course objectives, and define relevant competencies. Responsibilities include creating or revising skill-oriented course sections, implementing clear and measurable learning outcomes aligned to course sections, creating or revising response assignment prompts and rubrics, and evaluating existing multiple-choice questions or writing new ones.
