Virta Health is on a mission to transform type 2 diabetes and weight-loss care. We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator in the Denver area to support our growing organization of over 1,000 employees across the U.S. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to building a modern support desk and automation platform using Slack and AI.

Requirements

  • Lives near the Denver office with less than a 1-hour commute for emergency on-site needs.
  • Experience working with Apple Macs, including hardware, performance, and application troubleshooting.
  • Administrative experience with at least two of the following systems: Jamf, Okta, Google Workspace.
  • Patient and empathetic approach to assisting users, especially those new to Macs or less computer-experienced.

Responsibilities

  • User Support:
    • Handle end-user support issues on Mac, Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, and other company systems.
    • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and other business processes.
  • Office Support:
    • Manage Denver office Video Conferencing Systems and other technology needs.
    • Be onsite for events to provide IT Support approximately once per month.
  • On-Call:
    • Provide Tier 1 IT Support for the Mountain timezone, averaging 4 hours per day.
    • Participate in on-call rotations (16% of nights and weekends) for rare urgent issues.
  • System Administration:
    • Perform configuration changes on key systems such as Jamf, Okta, and Google Workspace.
    • Identify areas for improvement and automation within IT systems.
  • Endpoint Management:
    • Assist with OS and Application Updates, Onboarding, Offboarding, and other routine procedures.

90 Day Plan

  • Learn Virta Systems for administration (Okta, Jamf, Slack).
  • Meet Key Stakeholders.
  • Complete Project Plans for the Next Quarter, focusing on migrating to an AI-first support platform.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Basic scripting experience (Bash, Python).
  • Github Fluency.
  • Experience with office management, video conferencing equipment, cameras, basic network troubleshooting, and event management.
  • Experience supporting Executives with "White Glove" Support.
  • Zendesk/Jira ticket system experience.
  • Experience working with Protected Health Information (PHI) or in a HIPAA-regulated company, or other highly regulated, secure, compliant industries.
  • Experience working with a hypergrowth startup or a company that has recently had an IPO.
