Systems Administrator

Position Overview

Kalshi is seeking an experienced and driven Systems Administrator to join our lean, high-impact team. This role will be a key technical force behind our end-user tech stack, owning everything from cloud services and identity management to endpoint configuration and support infrastructure. You will not just respond to tickets, but actively build the internal systems that power the modern workplace.

About Kalshi

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history. Kalshi is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

Our Vision: Build the largest financial market on the planet. Our Mission: Bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Building a new category is hard, but it's beautiful and deeply fulfilling. Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing, configuring, and optimizing core systems like Azure AD, Okta, Intune, JAMF, O365, and others.
  • Supporting a wide range of cloud workloads, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Jira.
  • Writing and maintaining automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating across engineering and business teams to deploy and refine internal tools.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues across both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Supporting collaboration platforms including Teams, Slack, Zoom, and productivity suites.
  • Improving documentation, internal process clarity, and user help resources.
  • Participating in after-hours support as needed.

The rest of the role is yours to shape. We have a lot of greenfield to build on, and we trust you’ll claim ownership and expand what’s possible.

About You

You bring a strong foundation in IT systems and a passion for solving problems at scale. You're excited by the idea of making tech work better—not just for individuals, but for the whole business.

You likely have:

  • 3+ years of experience managing cloud-based and enterprise tech environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Office 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
  • Experience with IAM tools: Okta, Azure AD, Active Directory, GSuite, Auth0.
  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune, SCCM, JAMF, and managing both Mac and Windows platforms.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Office Suite.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.
  • A passion for great support and a desire to help others resolve technical issues.

Bonus traits:

  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams.
  • Curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Energized by challenges and the opportunity to build something new.

Kalshi

Regulated exchange for event contracts trading

About Kalshi

Kalshi operates as a regulated exchange where traders can speculate on the outcomes of various events through a unique product called 'event contracts.' These contracts allow investors to bet on whether specific future events will happen, such as changes in Covid-19 statistics or legislative decisions in Congress. The platform expands the traditional futures market by addressing new economic risks, making it accessible to both individual investors and institutional traders who want to hedge or speculate on significant events. Kalshi earns revenue by charging transaction fees on trades made on its platform. What sets Kalshi apart from its competitors is its regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which allows it to offer this new asset class in a compliant manner.
